Making movies on a smartphone!

So a few weeks ago Joby was kind enough to
send their GripTight POV Kit for review, which is a little neat accessory for your smartphone to help you take photos and videos. As you can see it’s a very simple device, mostly aimed towards vloggers. It comes with a handle which you can use as a mini pistol grip, but also to make the device stand on its own, to shoot timelapses for example. The handle provides a decent amount of stabilization
over simple hand-held shots, but nothing to write home about. The two main reasons why I’d recommend it are the cold shoe on top, which you can use to mount a mic or a small LED light, and the compatibility
with GoPro accessories, to get those same POV shots, or maybe lock it on a tripod. The GripTight also comes with Bluetooth shutter, which you can use to take selfies from difficult angles or maybe even a few meters away. Something that was very important to me while
using it is the locking mechanism, which feels super solid and it’s much better than those spring-based ones. However, enough with the talking. I took it with me these last few weeks, and this is what I shot with it. Enjoy!
