I’m Toni McLawhorn, director of career services at Roanoke College. I’m reaching out today to invite you to attend our annual NACE Conference, which takes place in June this year in Minneapolis. I’ve never been there myself so I’m really
looking forward to visiting a new part of the country. But I wanted to share with you today about a very unique session that was offered for the first time last year and will be offered
again this year. And it’s a speed networking session. This particular session was developed because of feedback from the work of two task forces, one employer member and college member. Members were asking for very defined opportunities during the conference to meet and network with as many college and employer members as possible. And thus the speed networking was begun. It was a very exciting thing to be a part
of it and to watch so many people meeting so many new people within a very short period of time. And to hear the energy in the room. And we’re going to offer that again because we got such good feedback on it. So come and join us not only in speed networking, but in all of the other sessions that take place at the conference. It’s always a great time. You’ll meet lots of new people. Don’t worry about traveling by yourself because there will be lots of opportunities for you to connect and make new friends and colleagues and we hope to see you in Minneapolis in June.
